Natural Remedy For Heartburn

The Best Natural Remedy For Heartburn

There are many ways that you can naturally cure your heartburn without having to turn to medications. In fact, finding a natural remedy for heartburn can help you avoid any side effects that you could possibly get from medication. However, there is no one cure that is going to work for everyone. As you may be able to guess, everyone's body is different, and will reacted differently to different types of treatments. The best thing to do is to try a few different home remedies until you find the one that truly works for you. After all, the ways we are going to talk about are all nature. So unless you are just allergic to something, there should be no side effects at all. That is a small risk that I think that we can all take.

First of all, one of the best cures for heartburn is celery. Believe it or not, this simple food is talked about by many doctors as being a great cure for heartburn, and there are many different reasons behind this. Celery is known to help relive muscle spasms and improves your appetite. You can see how those things can be helpful. Also, celery actually helps aid in digestion of all foods, which in turn can help control stomach acid. Last but not least, the celery also acts as a sedative. This can help clam your stomach, and you guessed it, help lower stomach acid.  You may also want to think about eating fennel. This helps relieve abdominal pains, and can help clear gas (it's always nice to think of those around you). Also, for the propose of our conversation, it can also help stomach conditions like heartburn. Let's not forget about the next thing on my list, the ginger. Seasoning your food with ginger also helps in the digestion of rich foods. By now you can see that aiding your digestion is one of the first steps in clearing your heartburn. The quicker you can get food in and out, the better.

Another natural remedy for heartburn is orange peel. It has been said that taking pills that have orange peel extracts in it can help you get rid of heartburn. In fact, they say that you should take one of these pills every other day for 20 days. By the end, your heartburn will be gone, and will most likely stay gone for some time. However, not everyone believes in the orange peel method. This is because it does not have a medical proof behind it, however, the people that have tried it have been cured. Although the reason on why it cures heartburn is still unknown, some doctors are starting to recommend it as a natural remedy for heartburn. Of course, there are still going to be people that question why, there is no denying that it does work. Until people can tell us why for sure, many people will not use it.

My next set of tips are some things that you may have heard of. Although these may seem simple, they are still very good natural remedies that you can use to help with your heartburn.  At first the signs of heartburn, try drinking a glass of milk (nonfat milk or low fat milk is the best). Doing this right after a meal can make sure that you stop all heartburn from starting. Although most fruits cause heartburn, there are a few that can actually relief it. Fruits like pineapple and papaya are well known for blocking heartburn. If you have a case of heartburn that will not go away, try some apple cider vinegar. Now usually vinegar is a no-no when you have heartburn, but the apple cider vinegar acts differently. Last but not least, do not sit still when you have heartburn. Most physicians recommend getting up and moving around. Nothing too physical, but something like standing or even just walking can help take the edge off your heartburn.

Finding the right natural remedy for heartburn is going to be different for everyone. Just because something works for one person does not mean that it is going to work for the next. However, by trying all of these natural remedies, you are more than likely going to find one that does work.
